“One of the gating factors that keeps CIOs from making
the decision to move from one operating system (OS) to another is
the ability of the IT staff to support the new software. It takes
time and money to train your staff on new software, and moving the
entire organisation to a new OS is a particularly daunting
challenge.

IT professionals have worked with the open source software on their
own. In this article, we’ll examine what TechRepublic Research has
learned about the ability of organisations to support Linux.

IT professionals to determine their current and future OS plans.
We’ve compiled the results in our Benchmarks, Trends, and
Forecasts: Linux Report.”
