4MLinux 19.0 entered development one and a half months ago, on July 16, 2016, and it only received a single Beta snapshot, which users were able to download and test on their personal computers. Now the status of the GNU/Linux distribution has been changed to stable and we’re happy to tell you all about its new features. First of all, you should know that 4MLinux 19.0 is powered by the long-term supported Linux 4.4 kernel (version 4.4.14 is available in this stable ISO image). Second, it comes with some of the most recent open-source applications, including the LibreOffice 5.2 office suite, GIMP 2.8.18 image editor, and Mozilla Firefox 48.0.2 web browser.
