When it launches later this year, the 4MLinux 22.0 Core will be the basic version of the 4MLinux 22.0 operating system. The Beta version allows public testers to get an early taste of what’s coming in this release, and it ships with some of the latest GNU/Linux technologies and open source applications. Installed, you’ll find the long-term supported Linux 4.9 kernel, Glibc (GNU C Library) 2.24, BusyBox 1.26.2, and GCC (GNU Compiler Collection) 6.2.0. 4MLinux 22.0 Core Beta doesn’t ship with a graphical desktop environment, but it is designed as a barebone system to help you build your own 4MLinux distribution, the way you like it to be.
