A year of Linux desktop at Westcliff High School

Stu Jarvis of the KDE project interviews Malcolm Moore, Network Manager at Westcliff High School for Girls in southeast England, who helped migrate the school’s computers to Linux one year ago. “We wanted to offer the best IT systems and education possible with the funds available” Moore says. “Money spent on essentially promoting Microsoft Windows and Office to students can be better spent on old-fashioned things like teachers and actual education.”
