Alpine Linux 3.2.0 is the first in the 3.2 stable series of the distribution and it is being built with the musl libc standard library, which means that it’s not compatible with the 2.x series of the distribution. While Alpine Linux is being known as a text-mode distribution, the release notes suggest that it now includes the latest MATE 1.10 and Xfce 4.12 desktop environments, along with the long-term supported Linux 3.18 kernel.
