ALT Linux 8.2 now uses iucode-tool to load updated processor microcode on all editions. For desktops, ALT Workstation 8.2 comes bundled with the FreeIPA client and the Chromium web browser, which isn’t installed by default. The most changes are included in ALT Education 8.2, which ships with eMMC install support, VNC installation support, updated trueconf-client, Wine as a replacement for wine-vanilla, and autostart support for the bind and crond services.
