AMD finally updated their graphics driver for Linux platforms to version 15.5, a release that introduces support for the SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop (SLED) 12 operating system. AMD Catalyst 15.5 driver update fixes some insignificant screen corruption issues that occurred only when resuming from S3, due to display hotplugging. Additionally, discrete GPUs (Graphics Processing Units) can now be turned off in Power-Saving mode when using it on particular PowerXpress AMD APU and AMD GPU platforms.
