Android July 2017 Security Patch Goes Live for Nexus/Pixel Devices, Update Now

Every month, Google releases a new major patch for its Linux-based Android OS for the mobile devices that the search giant supports at a given moment in time. As expected, the Android Security Bulletin of July 2017 contains a number of security vulnerabilities that are currently affecting Android devices. The most critical of the issues that were patched in this latest update is a dangerous security vulnerability discovered in the media framework of the Android operating system, which allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code related to a privileged process by using a specially crafted file.
