Today in Open Source: Giant Android phones. Plus: Strike Suit Zero released for Linux, and is Apache the most important open source project?

I have mixed feelings about these larger phones. I have a friend who’s tall and has large hands, he switched to Android from the iPhone to get a larger screen. So I can understand the attraction to these larger phones for some people.

However, I prefer a smaller size phone that more easily fits in my pocket, and that can be used one-handed. These giant phones seem much too clunky and bloated for me. I can’t imagine carrying some of them around.
