New features in the AryaLinux 2016.04 release include the MATE 1.12.0 desktop environment, support for GPT (GUID Partition Table) disks, dracut support to facilitate the creation of initrd, and removal of boot time warning messages. UEFI support is also a new feature of AryaLinux, but in the way that one can build the OS from within another GNU/Linux operating system that is installed in a UEFI BIOS-based system. The AryaLinux ISO won’t boot on UEFI systems at this time.
