Budgie 10.2.8 comes five weeks after the release of Budgie 10.2.7, and it adds a huge number of improvements that make Budgie a great alternative to existing desktop environments. The biggest new feature of Budgie 10.2.8 appears to be full IBus (Intelligent Input Bus) support, enabling multilingual input. However, users will also find a new Places indicator applet that they need to add to their Budgie Panel via the Raven notifications and control panel, giving them instant access to their favorite folders, network places, and external drives. Additionally, there are numerous bug fixes around the Icon Tasklist and various other applets.
