Calibre 3.1 is out, and among the new features is ships with, we can mention support for reading RAR and CBR files compressed using the latest RAR 5.0 archiving format, a new option in the Tag browser to control the spacing between items, and new buttons to the Edit metadata dialog to easily set and clear the “Yes/No” columns. The Edit metadata dialog was also updated to let users right-click the Paste ISBN button to paste an identifier that contains a different prefix. Other than that, Calibre 3.1 implements an option in Preferences – Look & feel to allow the app to display individual layout buttons in the status bar, and improves the New Yorker, BBC News, Wall Street Journal, and The Times news sources.
