The most interesting part of the announcement is that the collaboration between the two companies might prove to be fruitful for bringing the ZFS on Ubuntu implementation Canonical plans for its upcoming Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) operating system, due for release on April 21, 2016, to a whole new level of performance.
