The new Ubuntu Server installed, called Subiquity, was developed during the development cycle of six months of the recently released Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) operating system, but only now Canonical decided to reveal it to the world, looking for feedback from the community. To encourage more users to take it the new Ubuntu Server installer for a test drive and report any bugs that they might encounter, Canonical made hybrid ISO images that can be booted in a virtual machine, written to a USB flash drive, or burnt to a CD/DVD disc to be tested on actual hardware.
