Canonical started seeding a new kernel update for the Ubuntu 14.04 LTS distribution, claming that three security issues have been patched in the Linux 3.13 kernel packages used in the acclaimed operating system. All three vulnerabilities are flaws in Linux kernel’s handling of nested NMIs (non-maskable interrupts), as discovered by Andy Lutomirski, but they are the same ones detailed by Canonical in the Ubuntu Security Notice from July 28.
