Ubuntu 15.04 users can rest assure that they will get the latest security patches in the Linux kernel packages of the Vivid Vervet operating system with the help of Canonical’s Ubuntu Kernel maintainers, which promise to follow the same standard rules that are applied to the upstream stable kernels. Ubuntu 15.04’s kernel will be based on Linux kernel 3.19.8.
