Coming hot on the heels of the CentOS Linux 7.7 release, CentOS Linux 8 is now officially available, based on the sources of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 operating system, which means that it comes with all of its great new features and enhancements for the hybrid cloud era. Highlights include support for Application Streams, which consists of fast-moving frameworks, programming languages, and developer tools that are frequently updated, the ability for systems administrators to automate complex tasks more easily, as well as built-in support for the OpenSSL 1.1.1 and TLS 1.3 cryptographic standards.
