The Cinnamon 2.0 desktop environment features better edge-tiling, edge-snapping, sound effects, better user management, better MIME handling for the Nemo file manager, system tray support for file operations, window manager improvements, as well as better compatibility and portability, better integration, easier development and innovation. Among other features, we can mention better localization, centralized translations, date formats, support for guest user sessions and LightDM user-switching, support for MDM integration in the System Settings, MDM user-switching, and improved support for systemd and logind.
