Columbia Spectator: Lecture Prompts Student Protest Against Microsoft

A number of students at Columbia University protested a
presentation by a person from Microsoft. The protesters pointed out
that “It was hypocritical of Microsoft to hold a lecture entitled
`Internationalizing the Internet’ when the key to
internationalization is having open standards, rather than
ownership by a corporation.”
