    “A strong majority of resellers responding to a recent CRN spot
    survey said Linux would be a viable alternative to Windows in the
    enterprise market within the next 12 months. The results were
    similar when CRN asked resellers about the availability of Linux
    vs. Windows in the small- and midsize-company market; again, a
    substantial majority answered in the affirmative.”

    “Resellers agree that two factors-open source code and cheaper
    cost-are key selling points for Linux against other operating
    systems, according to the results of a recent CRN spot survey.
    Fifty-four percent of responding resellers cited one of these two
    factors. Another 8 percent said the key selling point for Linux was
    that it is a better operating system for the Internet.”
