Confirmed: LG G5 and LG V20 Are Also Getting Google’s Android 8 Oreo Update

A couple of weeks ago, LG announced that it plans to bring Google’s latest Android 8.1 Oreo software update to its LG V30 and LG G6 smartphones now that the search giant certified the devices for its Android Enterprise Recommended program. Users of older LG smartphones immediately started asking us around if the Android Oreo update will be available on their devices too. According to The Android Soul, T-Mobile has confirmed the Android 8 Oreo update for several of LG’s older smartphones, including the LG G5 and LG V20, along with the LG G6, LG V30 and LG V30+, which the South Korean tech giant already confirmed for this spring. However, the update has just recently entered its development stage at T-Mobile.
