The biggest new feature of the Q4OS 1.6 “Orion” release is the latest Trinity Desktop Environment (TDE) 14.0.3 desktop environment, an open source project that tries to keep the spirit of the old-school KDE 3.5 desktop interface alive. Q4OS was used the most recent TDE version, so Q4OS 1.6 is here to update it. Q4OS 1.6 comes with a slightly improved graphical desktop interface, as the development team managed to further polish both the newly introduced Bourbon Start Menu and the taskbar. For example, the size of the application icons will now resize proportionally to the system panel.
