Q4OS 2.2.1 is out now, and it comes as a drop-in replacement for the previous development release, namely Q4OS 2.1.1, bringing all sort of updated components and new technologies based, of course, on the upstream Debian Testing repositories. These include Linux kernel 4.6, Trinity Desktop Environment (TDE) 14.0.4, and GCC 6. We all know that the Q4OS GNU/Linux distribution was always built around the Trinity Desktop Environment, but it looks like, by popular demand, the development team decided to include the modern, Qt-based LXQt desktop environment as well, and you can switch between the two from the login screen.
