Debian GNU/Linux 7.9 is the ninth point release in the Debian GNU/Linux 7 “Wheezy” series and includes a wide range of under-the-hood improvements, code cleanups, security patches, a new kernel version, as well as many bugfixes, all in order to keep the long-term release of Debian GNU/Linux 7 reliable and stable for a longer period of time. In summary, we can tell you that it updates no less than 60 packages, implements 184 security patches for various core components and applications, and removes three packages.
