“Puppy Linux turned ‘2’ on June 1–reaching the milestone
version 2.0. Puppy Linux 2.0 sports an upgraded 2.6.16.7 kernel and
the JWM desktop environment. The live CD iso file weighs in at an
even 70 MB, up from 62.1 MB in v1.0.9. Smaller iso files, such as
the ‘BareBones Puppy,’ will be released very soon, the team
said.
