Early Nvidia Tegra K1 Benchmarks

Tom’s Hardware has posted a few preliminary benchmarks of Nvidia’s newly announced SoC, the Tegra K1, using a floor model of the Lenovo ThinkVision 28 Android All-In-One on the CES show floor. The new chip stacks up quite nicely versus other current high-end SoCs, posting between 25 and 50 percent better graphics performance than the company’s own Tegra 4, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800, and the Apple A7. While CPU performance doesn’t go stratospheric like the GPU, the specific chip inside the ThinkVision 28 is of the lower-end ARMv7 variety, so the upcoming Denver-based K1’s could change that, and possibly further the already wide graphics spread we’re seeing now. Impressive.
