“VeriBest Inc. is set to break out of its VHDL-only and Windows
NT-only cocoon this week. The pc-board and FPGA tool vendor is
announcing its first Verilog simulator and plans to offer all its
tools on Unix platforms by year’s end, with Linux support to
follow.”

“Additionally, VeriBest has announced it will offer microvia
support in the advanced interconnect option of its Expedition PCB
tool suite.”

“John Issac, senior vice president of marketing, said the move
to broaden language and platform support repositions the company to
better compete with the bigger players in the board market-namely,
Mentor Graphics, Cadence Design Systems and Zuken-Redac-as well as
with Model Technology and Accel on the FPGA-simulation market.
VeriBest also hopes its broader simulation offering will catch the
eye of ASIC designers.”
