On the Feb, 25th a Russian company Elbrus international headed by Boris
Babayan (a very distinguished Russian scientist) has released
technical specifications of their new processor, E2K. The beast is
projected to outperform Intel’s Merced. Press reports and other
details are on their site. By the way, they tested the models with
Linux. They also claim their technology is way ahead of what
Transmeta is now doing.
