ExTiX 17.5 Looks to Be the First GNU/Linux OS Shipping with Linux Kernel 4.11

To our knowledge, ExTiX 17.5 Build 170508 looks to be the first stable, production-ready GNU/Linux distribution to ship with Linux kernel 4.11. The operating system is dubbed by the developer “The Ultimate Linux System” for a reason, and today’s release is based on packages from Debian GNU/Linux 8.7 “Jessie,” Debian GNU/Linux 9 “Stretch” and Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus). ExTiX 17.5 KDE Live DVD Build 170508 is here to replace the previous version, ExTiX 17.0 Build 161221, and it’s built around the KDE 4.16.12 desktop environment, along with KDE Frameworks 5.31.0 collection of add-on libraries for Qt 5. The best thing about ExTiX 17.5 Build 170508 is that it comes pre-installed with Refracta Tools, so you build your own Live and installable Ubuntu system.
