Exton|OS Is Among the Few Linux Distros Based on Ubuntu 15.10 and Debian 8.1

Being based on Ubuntu 15.10, Exton|OS Build 151022 inherits its kernel packages, based on the upstream Linux kernel 4.2.3, but drops the Unity user interface for the more lightweight and customizable MATE desktop environment. The distribution uses Mr. Exton’s kernel 4.2.0-16-exton, which is an optimized version of Ubuntu 15.10’s kernel, patched with extra features, such as support for more hardware components. The previous release of the OS used kernel 4.0.0-4-exton.
