Facebook open sources a 3D-360 video capture system

Facebook has open-sourced a 17-camera “Surround360” r3D-360 video capture system, and has posted full specs and code on GitHub. Software running on a Ubuntu desktop stitches together images from the cameras into stereoscopic 360 panoramas.
