Faster Than Light: Advanced Edition Expansion Coming Out April 3rd

According to an official announcement on their website, a new expansion pack for the Faster Than Light game will be made available freely on April 3rd. Along with this release an iPad 2 version will also be released. The expansion pack will be free and will not include any additional in-app purchases.

FTL is 2D, top-down spaceship simulation, rogue-like game available for Linux via Steam, where you can explore randomly-generated galaxies. The game is available on Steam for Linux for ???9.99.

The new expansion pack will come with a bundle of new features and additions, including visual improvements, hard mode difficulty level, mind control system to temporarily turn an enemy into an ally, and backup battery.
