Each edition of the upcoming Fedora 26 Linux operating system is built from a common set of base packages, which means that they’re shipping with the Linux kernel 4.11, GCC (GNU Compiler Collection) 7, Go 1.8, Ruby 2.4, and Python 3.6 open-source technologies. DNF 2.0 is now the default package management system offering backwards compatibility with Yum, and Fedora 26 Beta updates the Anaconda installer program with a brand new storage configuration screen that enables support for “bottom-up” configurations from partitions and devices.
