We still don’t know if the Flatpak 0.9 series is a stable branch or not, but it’s already been adopted by the developers of the Arch Linux and Solus operating systems. Flatpak 0.9.2 is here about 22 days after the first maintenance update in the new series, version 0.9.1. While the changelog for today’s Flatpak 0.9.2 release is quite big, we can’t help but notice that many of the changes have been backported from the Flatpak 0.8.5 stable release announced on April 3, 2017. These include the recently discovered memory leaks and a use-after-free in the dbus-proxy.
