The Russian Calculate Linux 14.16.2 distro is now powered by Linux kernel 3.18.14 LTS, which is the most advanced long-term support branch of the Linux kernel.
The new version is synchronized with the upstream Gentoo repositories as of June 5, 2015. Calculate Linux’s Plymouth boot splash manage has been finally replaced with the Splashutils tool, which appears to be more Gentoo-friendly and lightweight on system resources. Also, the distribution has switched to the OpenRC init system.
