This is the first release of the GNOME desktop environment without any GConf dependency, which means that the team did a great job cleaning up the code. The release is available for download right now from the main GNOME FTP server. GNOME 3.9.2 brings numerous updated core components and libraries, as well as several improvements to basic applications, and the usual bugfixes and updated translations.
