GNOME Boxes 3.22 will enable USB redirection for all virtual machines that run in the background, update the configuration of virtual machines only when the app is started, and improve the capitalization and placement of “Keyboard Shortcuts” in the global menu. GNOME Boxes 3.22 will become generally available on September 21, 2016, along with the GNOME 3.22 desktop environment, and will also bring more stricter validation of SPICE URLs, removes support for unnecessary smartcard hacks and USB redirection for versions of QEMU smaller than 1.3, as well as those irrelevant checks made by the guest operating system for QXL support.
