First of all, we should mention that GNOME Display Manager 3.12 Beta 1 release brings many code cleanups and fixes several memory leaks that were discovered in previous releases. Second of all, it fixes compilation issues for the FreeBSD operating system, and updates numerous translations. Furthermore, this first Beta release of GDM 3.12 changes the way dconf settings are used, supports logging on systems without systemd, outputs human-readable error messages when invoked wrong, and logs X.Org Server messages to systemd journal.
