Today, we see that the fwupd tool that lets Linux users to update the firmware of their UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) machines has been added as a dependency automagic for the upcoming GNOME Software 3.18 application that will be part of the GNOME 3.18 desktop environment, due for release on September 23, 2015.
