GNOME’s Gedit App to Be Known as “Text Editor” Among GNU/Linux Distributions

Gedit 3.19.3 has been released and it renames the .desktop file to “Text Editor,” which means that this is how Gedit will be known among GNU/Linux users in the near future, after the release of GNOME 3.20 on March 23, 2016.
