Development on Android 8.0 started early this Spring with the first Developer Preview, which already gave users a first glimpse of what to expect from the next major update of the operating system used by millions of people worldwide, and the second Developer Preview (DP) arrived in mid-May with more goodies. Last month, Google also released a third Developer Preview milestone to Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, Pixel C, Pixel, and Pixel XL devices, incorporating the final APIs and the official Android 8.0 SDK, and it now looks like the fourth and last Developer Preview is expected sometime later this month offering near-final system images for final testing.
