Consisting of the 2018-10-01 and 2018-10-05 security patch levels, the Android Security Patch for October 2018 fixes a total of 26 security vulnerability across several components, including the Android framework, media framework, system, and kernel components. The most severe vulnerability patched in this update could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. Surprising, the Android Security Patch for October 2018 doesn’t fixes any security vulnerabilities specific to Pixel or Nexus devices, according to the October 2018 Pixel???/???Nexus Security Bulletin. But it improves fast-charging behavior for Pixel and Pixel XL devices, the performance for some protected media formats, as well as the stability of Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL devices when using Android Auto.
