Google has announced last evening, April 20th, that it will no longer offer the Picasa software for the Linux platform. Picasa for Linux was launched by Google back in 2006, as a Wine-based version. The last version of Picasa for Linux was 3.0. Users who want the Picasa app installed on their favorite Linux platform should grab the current Windows version and run it via the popular Wine software.
