The Guix System Distribution 0.11.0 release is here today, August 3, 2016, to add a great number of improvements and new features, among which we can mention the latest Beta milestone of the GNU Guix application, support for RAID devices, compression support for the “guix publish” function used by users to share their store with others. Additionally, GuixSD 0.11.0 introduces a bunch of new system services, including but not limited to a dictionary service named Dico, an SSH (Secure Shell) service named Dropbear, and a mcron service. A new infrastructure for whole-system tests has been implemented as well in Guix System Distribution 0.11.0.
