Heise Online: Hewlett-Packard and Novell come together in “Linux Kommunale” Initiative

“The US computer manufacturer Hewlett-Packard and the software
company Novell intend to join hands in Germany by responding
jointly in future to bids for tenders by German public authorities.
For this purpose the German branches of the two companies at the
LinuxWorld fair unveiled their joint initiative termed Linux
Kommunale [a pun on ‘jointly and on a municipal level’]. According
to Hewlett-Packard, other partners to the initiative are, among
others, the Office for the Promotion of the Economy of the
Stuttgart Region in southern Germany and the Association of German
Cities and Municipalities…”
