The Document Foundation officially announced the LibreOffice 4.2 office suite on January 30, 2014, a version that focuses on interoperability, performance, and better integration with the Microsoft Windows operating systems. As expected, the LibreOffice Packaging Team did a great job releasing the LibreOffice 4.2 packages on the PPA repository for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) and Ubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander) in such a short time.
