How To Install WordPress on Ubuntu 14.04 VPS

In this tutorial we will explain how to install WordPress on Ubuntu 14.04 VPS.

WHAT IS WORDPRESS?
WordPress is an online, open source website creation tool written in PHP. But in non-geek speak, it’s probably the easiest and most powerful blogging and website content management system (or CMS) in existence today.

It is also easy to learn and use. Many popular web sites and blogging platforms are using WordPress as their platform.

Installing WordPress on a Ubuntu VPS is pretty easy and straight forward procedure. Just follow the steps in this tutorial and you will get your new WordPress web site or blogging platform up and running very fast.

LEt’s START WITH THE INSTALLATION
First, you will need to log in to your VPS as ROOT via SSH. Once you are in the first thing you need to do is to downloads the package lists from the repositories and ???update??? them to get information on the newest versions of packages and their dependencies. It will do this for all repositories and PPAs. To do that just type:
