How to Limit CPU Usage of a Process on Linux

In your Linux lifetime, you must’ve seen some processes take up all the CPU cycles (90-99% CPU usage), making your computer nearly unresponsive till it finishes. That may be alright if the process takes a few seconds to complete. But what If it takes a long time? That’s not very nice to sit and look at your unresponsive computer for minutes and hours, right?
