Dubbed Phobos, illume OS 3 is here to improved the overall security and stability of the system, to simplify processes system-wide, as well as to provide users with an improved, more polished interface. The new release is based on the recently released Debian GNU/Linux 8.1 (Jessie) operating system. Compared with the last stable release of the distribution, illume OS 2.1.2, the new version brings faster performance by adding the readahead and preload technologies to the boot system.
