into a network, Jini allows them to discover one another and figure
out how to use each others’ services. For example, the camera will
automatically know how to save pictures to the disk drive or print
the photographs on the printer.

“Microsoft is about to pitch its competitor to Jini, called
Universal Plug and Play.” Do you think Microsoft is foolish enough
to make its Universal Plug and Play specification
Windows-specific?”
